New Requirements for working live on energised electrical equipment apply as of 14th May 2018 when changes to the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991 (the Regulations) and a new Code of Practise for persons working Live or near energised electrical equipment (the Code) came into effect.
The New Regulations Ban work on or Near energised electrical equipment except in special circumstances where there is no reasonable alternative. In such cases, working on or near energised equipment may only be carried out after a rigorous risk assessment and formulation of safe work method statement (SWMS)
CPR have put into place this system that allows all workers to work in a safe environment.
