Overview
The Belmont Football Club engaged CPR Electrical after securing an $80,000 grant to upgrade their oval lighting at Forster Park. Partnering with Eye Lighting, CPR developed a tailored lighting concept that met the club's specifications and budget, installing two 30-metre lighting towers each fitted with three 2000W 415V floodlights.
The project demanded precision timing — executed in the narrow window between the baseball finals and the AFL football season — and meticulous site management to protect the oval surface throughout construction.

Tower placement required precision engineering for uniform light distribution across the entire oval, while the heavy lifting operations associated with erecting two 30-metre towers presented significant safety management and surface protection challenges on a maintained sporting ground.
Solution
CPR coordinated with Eye Lighting to fast-track equipment delivery and developed a construction methodology specifically designed to protect the oval surface during heavy lifting and tower erection operations. Meticulous tower positioning calculations ensured optimal light coverage for athletes and spectators, while ground protection measures — including load-spreading mats and staged crane positioning — delivered a result that surprised both the Council and club officials who had expected some degree of surface disruption.
